šŸ“£ Statement from the Gay Conservative Network: We Strongly Disagree with the University of Cincinnati’s Removal of TPUSA

Published on September 25, 2025 at 6:18 PM

The Gay Conservative Network stands in firm disagreement with the University of Cincinnati’s sudden and unexplained removal of its Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter from campus.

This decision—made without warning, without dialogue, and without transparency—is not only unjust, it’s deeply concerning.

šŸ›ļø A Blow to Free Expression

TPUSA has long been a platform for young conservatives to engage in civic discourse, promote free markets, and advocate for limited government. Removing this chapter without explanation undermines the very principles of academic freedom and viewpoint diversity that universities are meant to uphold.

We ask:

  • What policy was violated?

  • Why were students not given a chance to respond?

  • Why the silence?

🌈 LGBTQ+ Conservatives Deserve a Seat at the Table

As LGBTQ+ conservatives, we know what it means to be marginalized—both by the left and sometimes by the right. That’s why we fight for inclusion, not exclusion. We believe every student, regardless of ideology, deserves the right to organize, speak, and be heard.

Removing TPUSA from campus sends a chilling message: that conservative voices—especially those that challenge the dominant narrative—are not welcome.

✊ We Call for Accountability

We respectfully urge the University of Cincinnati to:

  • Publicly explain the rationale behind this decision

  • Reinstate the TPUSA chapter and restore student rights

  • Reaffirm its commitment to free speech and ideological diversity

This is not just about one chapter. It’s about the future of open debate, intellectual honesty, and the right to dissent.

šŸ—£ļø Our Commitment

The Gay Conservative Network will continue to support students who stand for freedom, faith, and family. We will not be silenced. We will not be sidelined. And we will never stop fighting for a country—and a campus—where all voices are welcome.
